The Three-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed by . Participants must explain the content and significance of their research to a general audience in three minutes or less. A showcase of graduate student research, the competition encourages students to develop their plain language communication and short-form knowledge transfer skills.

PM Heat

Time: 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Finalists from each heat move forward to the Three-Minute Thesis Competition Finals on March 13!
The finalists will be a combination of the students who receive the highest overall scores for their semi-final presentations (“the overall winners”) and “wild cards”. Wild cards will consist of the students who score highest (or next-highest, following the overall winners) in the Engagement category of the judging criteria, regardless of their scores in the other categories.
